Yue Lu obtained her PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University, under the guidance of Prof. Zhen Gu in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering. She is currently a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. James R. Heath at ISB, Seattle. Her main research interests include controlled drug delivery, materials science and engineering, as well as nanotechnology towards enhanced cancer treatment. Recently, her research focus has shifted to the development of novel imaging methods and the applications of such methods to fundamental biology and translational medicine.
